Introduction |
|
International relations and
politics is the area of study which deals with world as well as domestic affairs.
It examines some of the critical issues of modern times, including the changing
nature of international cooperation and conflict, the new character of warfare,
the impact of globalization upon states and societies and the persistence of world
problems such as poverty, migration and the drug trafficking. The roles of states
and non-state actors in shaping world politics in the new millennium are central
to the study of international relations, as is an understanding of how different
visions of world order affect the prospects for peace and security. The Department
of International Relations & Political Science was established by the Syndicate
of the University of Sargodha in its 1/2005 meeting held on February 28, 2005. |

In this era of global and regional
interdependence, national survival is now premised on international orientation.
To compete this, the nations should not only equip themselves with modern technologies
in all fields but also with competencies in the management of trans-national relations.
To achieve this objective and cater the educational needs of the future leaders
in government, political institutions and international organizations, the Department
has designed a broad based Master's Program in International Relations, and very
recently in Political Science as well. Main objective is to provide the students
with an understanding of the national and international community politically, economically
and culturally. |
